We are currently for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Cashier.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Restaurant Receptionist/Cashier to cover payment handling duties for our dining establishment. In this position, you will run credit and debit cards, make change for cash payments, and provide general customer service. You will also greet customers as they come in and resolve any complaints. Our ideal applicant has some restaurant experience and a high school diploma or GED certificate, but we are willing to work with anyone who has the right attitude and work ethic for the job.

Responsibilities:
• Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
• Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
• Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
• Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
Requirement and Skills:
• Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Customer service attitude
• High school degree or Bachelor's Degree
