Team / division overview The Chief Risk Office (CRO) within DWS is an independent function responsible for protecting the business as well as being a trusted adviser and partner for supporting sustainable business growth. The Retail Risk Governance Team -within the Liquid Investment Risk Management division- is responsible for establishing and executing a robust fiduciary risk management framework for the DWS Product Platform globally to ensure regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions and governance within the investment platform to fulfill its fiduciary obligation to the DWS investors. The Team ensures independent risk oversight and escalation procedures based on robust governance frameworks for market, liquidity, sustainability and counterparty risks and assesses product risks in line with adequate usage of risk models. This includes regular monitoring analysis and reporting of all risk types to portfolio management and DWS Fund and Management Boards of global jurisdictions. Role Details As a Risk Manager, you will (be): Execution lead in the regular portfolio and risk analysis to ensure an efficient execution of the global monitoring and escalation procedures for retail products Responsible for the analysis, execution and review of VaR, Leverage, Tracking Error and Liquidity results across a variety of asset classes and investment strategies Develop and prepare reports and dashboards to highlight risk and facilitate escalation to management and other oversight bodies Review of new / existing product risk profiles and portfolio positions to identify potential sources of investment risk Support the development of systems and tools to automate and operationalize risk limitation, measurement, monitoring and escalation processes Assist with the creation of policies, procedures and process documentation Support risk model development and administration including contribution to team projects and working groups Support and execute data quality management processes related to risk management We are looking for University degree, preferably in Mathematics / Statistics / Quantitative Finance / Economics / Physics, or similar background Relevant proven experience in asset management (Risk and/or Portfolio Management, Product Management) Strong knowledge of financial instruments, related risk factors and analytics as well as investment strategies and investment processes across liquid asset classes (e.g. equity, fixed income, multi-asset) Proven experience with data analysis, process design implementation as well as financial instrument analytics Experience using coding languages and database usage such as SQL and VBA considered a plus Effective time management and communication skills with the ability to organize a workload with competing priorities Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manner Excellent command of English language (written and spoken skills), German is considered a plus Desire to work in a global and multi-cultural Risk Management Team What we’ll offer you: At DWS we’re serious about diversity, equity and creating an inclusive culture where colleagues can be themselves sand it’s important to us that you enjoy coming to work - feeling healthy, happy and rewarded.
