In this role you will: Coordinate and lead the adoption of new security initiatives and solutions. Provide technical expertise on the development and support of all activities, processes, and tools used for validating and ensuring the integrity of technology-based information. Lead the analysis and evaluation of third party applications and technologies to determine whether security requirements meet internal standards. Oversee risk assessment and determines risk mitigation strategies. Recommend and implement third party security assessment process improvements. Identify emerging strategic security needs and make recommendations to resolve security and technology issues prior to their implementation. Lead the assessment of risks and adequacies of existing information security controls, identifies potential and actual system vulnerabilities and recommends corrective measures. Evaluate Vanguard technical acquisitions, infrastructure and development processes to ensure that adequate security measures are established and maintained, according to established policies. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. What it takes: Minimum of eight years related work experience, with at least two years of application development and IT Security experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. Ability to obtain within 2 years one profession security certification such as ISC2 CISSP, GIAC Security. Essentials Certification (GSEC), GIAC Penetration Tester Certification (GPEN), GIAC Web App Pen Tester (GWPN), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Special Factors Sponsorship Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position.
