Overview The Global Trading Team at DWS is a key part of the investment process and has a primary goal of achieving best execution results for the firm’s clients. The team covers a wide range of products (across asset classes) and markets globally. Trading is seeking a candidate to join the Americas Trading team in New York. While there is broad connectivity to all Fixed Income products, the individual will primarily focus on trading Mortgage Backed and Structured Securities for mutual funds, institutional accounts and ETFs Your Key Responsibilities: Primary responsibility to support MBS traders PM teams with daily responsibilities including execution services, dissemination of market color and trade settlement Achieve best execution in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal controls Communicate flow information, relative value and trade ideas to the investment platform Build and manage relationships with external counterparties (including New Issuance) Negotiate and execute trades with broker dealers (through low touch and high touch channels) Successful relationship and interactions with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk and Audit Your Skills Experience: Undergraduate degree with a preference towards a Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field Familiarity with MBS instrument types including TBA, dollar rolls, specified pools, various CMO structures and derivative instruments Familiarity with additional non-agency products including ABS/CMBS/RMBS/CLO a plus Strong communication skills and assertiveness necessary for both internal dissemination of market color, flow information and trade ideas amongst portfolio managers and day to day negotiations with broker dealers Programming skills (Python, Matlab, C++, JAVA) and/or experience with process automation Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications.
