We manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers. Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches. As a Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for: Developing and leading end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up delivery of goods Managing Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Op Plans. Liaising with approved Logistics Service Providers (LSP) to attain best cost/service options for shipments Using business systems and to generate the shipping documents Performing the record keeping of the logistics documentation as per the policy procedures Arranging required customs clearances shipping / receiving packing activities Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have at least Higher National diploma Have at least 3 years experience in in logistics and freight forwarding Be able to speak English with good oral and written communication skills. Have knowledge and experience in customs and excise and transportation taxes for import and export of goods Have good working knowledge of principal modes of shipment; road, sea and air Possess considerable knowledge of INCOTERMS, documentation and international customs requirements Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Work in a way that works for you We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
