About the Role:
The Senior LVN role supports the department lead LVN and/or department leadership. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care, coordinating patient care workflows, and ensuring adequate staffing. The senior LVN will work collaboratively with clinical staff, physicians, and other members of the medical team to deliver safe and efficient patient-centered care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide orientation and training for new clinical staff.
Conduct departmental orientations and ensure onboarding requirements are met.
Maintain a functional work environment by prioritizing quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and maintaining supplies.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, as advised by the provider.
Assist with basic patient care, such as taking vitals and performing diagnostic tests.
Monitor patients' condition and report any changes to the provider.
Respond to patient and physician messages.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to Medical Assistants.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance measures.
Coordinate clinical team coverage to support providers and ensure safe patient care.

Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current and valid California LVN License.
IV/Phlebotomy Certification within one year of hire.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.
Three years of experience required, with OB/GYN experience preferred.
