[What the role is] DEPUTY/ ASSISTANT MANAGER, CROSS BORDER RAIL REGULATION [What you will be working on] The Cross Border Rail Regulation division is responsible for the oversight of the safety and security regulatory matters for cross border rail projects under the Cross-Border Railways Act, such as the Johor Bahru-Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link. The division also supports the domestic rail lines. As a key member of the dynamic team, you will be directly involved in the: a) Development and review of bilateral regulatory requirements to ensure safe and reliable cross-border train services; b) Monitoring of rail operators’ performance in operating and maintaining rail networks, analysing regulatory reports, assessing the reliability of train services, safety verification, and the coordination and facilitation of rail incident investigation; c) Support in rail reliability computation processes and data; d) Verification of operators’ submissions, and performance of audits [What we are looking for] • Tertiary qualification in Engineering • Highly adaptable team player who is able to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment • Ability to engage and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders • Self-motivated, astute, meticulous and resourceful in developing innovative approaches and solutions to address wide-arranging policy and operations matters • Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines • Excellent writing, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills • Proficient in MS Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) • Candidates with leadership skills and relevant working experience in rail systems would be an added advantage The Singapore Public Service plays a key role in the economic growth, progress and stability of Singapore by formulating and implementing government policies, as well as providing key public services.
