A Little More About What You Will be Doing:
- As a Senior Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for positive patient relations, proper telephone communication, and verifying patient information.
- You will prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking vital signs, and reporting patient history.
- You will also be trained in appointment scheduling and collecting and maintaining patient demographics and insurance information.

Responsibilities:
- Positive patient relations, proper telephone communication, and verification of patient information
- Assisting in preparing patients for examination and performing preliminary physical tests
- Appointment scheduling and collecting patient demographics and insurance information
- Coordinating administrative and clinical support activities
- Explaining policies, procedures, and services to patients
- Setting up exam rooms/procedure rooms
- Cleaning and reprocessing equipment and supplies

Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or Medical Assistant Certification
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinical/medical office setting
- OB/GYN experience highly preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Medical Assistant certification and/or diploma required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
