Job Description: Job Title: Lead Engineer (JAVA/Oracle) (m/f/x) – VP - Agile Team TDI- Private Bank-Products Enterprises Investments Location: Pune, India Role description, Team Business Area Our Investments agile teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for securities business of Private Customers. Changes are generally announced on short notice due to regulatory requirements or time to market challenges. Quality and stability has priority together with time to market. As a Lead Engineer you will also work together with business and operation units and bring leadership and development skills to enforce the development team within a Squad. Your primary focus will be on database, software and API design, establishing the base for the developers (including coding) and acting as key contact for all technical topics. You are one of the leaders in sprint ceremonies and lead the development team to achieve the Sprint and long-term objectives. You provide high-quality solutions that meet functional as well as non-functional requirements. You are responsible for the overall picture from a technical point of view, balancing between short-term and long-term needs. Your skills and Experiences At least 14 years’ experience in database technology (JPA/Oracle), software solution design and/or development with hands-on experience in Java (amongst others Spring) and/or frontend development (JavaScript/React) Pro-active team player with good communication and English language skills, with experience in leadership of agile (SCRUM) working development teams and stakeholder communication Strong experience designing and working with databases, APIs and microservices, integrating external and internal services including REST, JSON, SOAP, XML as well as asynchronous and message driven integration patterns (e.g. Kafka) Experience with cloud development platform: Spring Cloud; OpenShift/Kubernetes/Docker; experience in Google Cloud Platform will be a plus. High ability to abstract Strong practical and applied knowledge in Test Driven Development, software architecture, design patterns etc. Ability to technically drive a team. Experience and knowledge of investment business and its operations Excellent communication skills.
