Reporting to the Mining Coordinator: Longwall, the primary purpose of the role is to complete all tasks safely and efficiently, to assist Aquila Mine in achieving its goal of zero harm and ensuring the walk on / walk off longwall operational targets are met.As a Longwall and Longwall Installs operator you will be responsible for:Longwall recovery and relocation, as well as safe productionSafely and efficiently operate a variety of underground mining equipmentTasks and operation of equipment specific to Longwall operationsMaintaining a safe and productive mining environmentApplying statutory obligations as requiredOperation of equipment to consistently deliver specified hourly targetsWork proactively with on-shift peers to ensure a high level of safety productivity to agreed standards responsibilitiesAssist with maintenance activities as requiredActively ensure all personal authorisations and competencies are maintainedUniformly applying Anglo American standards and procedures i.e. the mine Safety Health Management System Anglo Golden Rules.
