In this role, the Senior Data Architect role will be responsible for developing the Corporate Services Data blueprint encompassing Client, IT, Risk, and HR data management. Core Responsibilities Designs data processes for overall corporate services data architecture, data models, and data warehouse applications using best practices and tools. Delivers high quality data architect-related outcomes including data warehouse designs in accordance with existing standards and guidelines. Analyzes business needs, working with data product architects to make decisions and recommendations on data product development. Evaluates reusability of current data for analyses and translates business needs into scalable architecture solutions. Reviews object and data models and metadata repository to structure data for better management. Resolves routine issues by providing advice on data engineering methods and approaches. Guides and assists data engineers based on extensive data architecture experience. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of ten years related work experience, with at least five years of technology architect experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. Deep experience of Vanguard data, business context and systems preferred. Strong knowledge of cloud (AWS) and legacy data and analytics platforms preferred. Experience with AWS service that include EMR, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Cloud Formation, IAM S3. Experience building Spark data processing applications with Python, PySpark.
