We aim to provide deep knowledge across all specialties, including transplantation, stem cell therapy, congenital heart disease, women’s heart health, valve disorders, arrhythmia and hypertension.What will you be doing in this role?As a Pediatric/Congenital Sonographer, you will assist in all echocardiograms performed in the Non-Invasive Cardiac Laboratory (Echo) for the pediatric and adult congenital cardiac population. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the fetal echocardiography laboratory. You will provide support to outpatient and inpatient services, operating suite and catheterization lab for efficient operations. In this role you will be expected to:Provide a safe patient care environment.Have responsibility and accountability for performing transthoracic echocardiograms using state of the art ultrasound equipment to diagnosis and manage cardiac conditions.Assist cardiologists in the acquisition of transesophageal, intracardiac and epicardial echocardiograms.Consistently demonstrate proficiency in the performance of all procedures and competency in the use of all related ultrasound equipment and computers.Be an active participant in departmental and performance improvement activities and mentor other staff. Collect/document data to meet clinical, financial, and regulatory requirements.QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredGraduation from a 2-year accredited ultrasound school preferredLicense/Certification/Registration:Current RDCS in Pediatric and/or Adult preferredBLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredExperience:A minimum of 3 years of Sonographer experience requiredAt least 1 year of experience as a full-time pediatric sonographer OR completion of a formal pediatric/congenital sonographer training program preferredAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbal communication, with persons of various cultural and educational backgroundsAvailable 24 hours/day when scheduled for on-call activitiesParticipation in significant ongoing congenital and pediatric training and will learn/follow extensive congenital protocols/workflows to ensure high standardsWhy work here?Beyond outstanding benefits, competitive salaries and health and dental insurance, we take pride in hiring the best, most passionate employees.
