As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, consolidating and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient solutions in the Development and Collaboration Tools space, particularly the Atlassian suite. You will work closely with LSEG teams, and partners to ensure smooth delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our development tools, reducing support tickets by delivering robust solutions and documentation. As the senior technical lead, you will help the team grow by implementing great engineering practices. Responsibilities: Design and implement solutions that meet the 6 Pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Work with third-party vendor (i.e. Atlassian) to implement their tools for very large user base. Define and build solutions to run large-scale migrations of content to support mergers and acquisitions as well as consolidation Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define system requirements, evaluate technologies, and propose architectural solutions. Optimize system performance and maintainability by crafting user permissioning that will fit the organisation needs. Conduct system audits, implement security best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating and recommending tools and practices to improve development tools processes. Document architectural designs, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring clear and accurate documentation. Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership and promoting an engineering culture. Work well with the team, maintaining clear lines of communication to ensure a full understanding of tasks. Troubleshoot production systems that the support team is not able to debug. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent engineering qualification from an accredited university. Minimum of 7 years of industry experience, with at least 2 years in Lead engineer role, with a strong track record in DevOps Familiarity with the Atlassian product suite, including JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and also Jenkins/GitLab. Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions for complex software applications and organisations. Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration concepts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and proficiency in related services and tools. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a passion for guiding and developing team members. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver high-quality results. Strong delivery-focused approach with the ability to work to tight deadlines and function successfully under pressure. Able to work varied shifts to support the application management needs. A fast learner with a passion for technology and a drive to stay updated with the latest industry trends.
