Your Responsibilities As the Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer, you will champion Software Engineering practices for Cloud Platform Engineering. Your role is pivotal in supporting and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, leveraging infrastructure as code, and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines. You'll tackle developer challenges with a SecDevOps mindset, deep networking knowledge, fundamental Linux skills, and a zeal for discovering new tools that streamline our operations. Take the lead in low to moderate complexity work projects, including estimation, design, installation, configuration, integration of information technology system components. Prioritise rapid, automated and safe deployment of technical solutions. Take accountability for the assimilation of platforms into their ecosystems, concentrating on all aspects of the stack including hardware and networking, data handling and the flow through to application and integration points. Focus on non-functional aspects such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability and usability. Ensure that platforms meet service level objectives in addition to business requirements. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to other members of the team. Apply and promote industry best practices and patterns, as well as application non-negotiables. Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within own team and platform. Lead support and technical troubleshooting responsibilities for production systems. Drive continuous improvement for the system and team processes. Must have Skills/Experience: 5+ Years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering Proficient in Azure, with hands-on experience essential. Expertise in securing code pipelines and CI/CD with GitHub. Skilled in at least one scripting language, such as Golang, Bash, or Python. Experienced with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Bicep or CloudFormation. A DevOps aficionado with a solid grasp of cloud infrastructure, including DNS, networks, and security. Adept at solving complex technical issues (troubleshooting), such as experience using package tracking, TCP dump. Desired Skills: Kubernetes, Typescript, DBA, proficiency and full stack development experience would be highly advantageous.
