About us: Institutional Banking and Markets (IBM) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC or Coverage) leads banking relationship management and the provision of transaction banking, risk management and capital solutions to our clients. The team’s purpose is to provide IBM clients with solutions across the financing spectrum to support their strategic objectives. GIBC teams include: Institutional Client Coverage (ICC) – supporting our clients within Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) and Banks, Government Education (BGOVE), Corporate Client Coverage (CCC) – supporting our clients within Industrials, Transport Consumers (ITC), Future Cities Network (FCN) and Natural Resources, Energy Carbon (NREC). Picture yourself in the team: The role will have responsibility for providing support to the business and the bankers within the NBFI New York team. This support includes portfolio management, financial modelling, account on-boarding and credit analysis. Post transaction close, you will monitor the transaction performance and the drafting of annual reviews. This role will report directly to the Executive Director, Non-Bank Financial Institutions, North America and will be a member of the Client Coverage team. Do work that matters: Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Provide support to Senior Bankers in covering and servicing the needs of New York NBFI clients including for complex transactions, operational requirements and day-to-day enquiries across the client lifecycle. Work as part of a Deal Team over the lifecycle of a deal to support and drive documentation, execution, establishment, settlement and in-life maintenance processes. Prepare annual credit reviews and provide analytical and credit related support in preparation of credit applications for new transactions. Liaise with product partners, credit risk and other stakeholders as required. Perform portfolio monitoring activates such as breach management and other reporting and liaise with credit risk where required. Input and maintain client, credit and transaction data and ensure data accuracy and quality across systems. Actively contribute to the team to ensure a positive team culture and support a safe and diverse workplace for all team members, customers and visitors. We are interested in hearing from you if you have: Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, numerical, or business related discipline. 2-3 years experience in corporate or investment banking, as well experience in a Graduate program at a major international bank Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills and excellent verbal and written communication. Aptitude in financial modelling, together with strong research and analytical skills. Ability to review and process complex legal documentation. Understanding of risk management and credit risk issues. The salary range for this role is from $130,000 to $160,000. The salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
