Job Description: Job Title Test Lead Automation Engineer Location London Corporate Title Assistant Vice President Details of the role and team An exciting opportunity for a motivated Software development in Test (SDET) lead automation engineer to define and impact the strategic test automation approach across a cutting-edge, award-winning department in the Bank’s TDI (Technology, Data, and Innovation) division. You will be part of agile team(s) and work in Collaboration with the team members as well as stakeholders outside the team. You’ll design and write test automation scripts, provide hands-on technical guidance on test automation implementation, and most importantly continually improve the performance, quality, and best practices of the test team. We have implemented a Hybrid Working Model that enables eligible employees to work remotely for a part of their working time and reach a working pattern You can expect: Competitive salary and non-contributory pension 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits The opportunity to support a wide ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year Your key responsibilities Design, develop, plan, and implement test tooling framework for the program needs Ensuring adherence to testing best practices and Deutsche Bank testing standards Coordinate runs of manual and automated tests according to documented test cases and developing new and supporting existing test automation suites Working with cross disciplined teams, collaborating daily with our business users, Functional Analysts, Product Owners, User Experience Designers, and development teams Manage the day to day running of testing activities on the program and ensuring test environments, blockers and data needs are understood well in advance Reporting in a concise manner to senior management for decision making Your skills and experience Hands on strong Java8 experience for debugging and refactoring, Spring, Maven/Gradle framework and proficiency in SQL queries, Data Analysis, Data Validation, and data modelling Excellent experience with development of end-to-end test automation (Frontend, Backend, Database, and Microservices) including but not limited to testing RESTful APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), Data Warehouse testing, Selenium, Selenide associated libraries Practical experience with modern DevOps/SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) build chains and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) tools (Maven, Gradle, Git, Jenkins or TeamCity) Proactively initiate, develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and various stakeholders in multiple locations Knowledge/experience/exposure to Cloud Technology practices in particular Google Cloud Platform, experience within Compliance or Anti-Financial Crime is a bonus Customer needs collation artefacts to support a lean-agile delivery as well as artefacts to other non-agile technology teams How we’ll support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs About us and our teams Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
