Do work that matters We are scaling our agile product ownership and as a technical product owner you will take ownership of the technical side of product develop, delivery and operations for our enterprise monitoring observability tools that help ensure the groups most critical assets are available and performing. You will use your comprehensive understanding of both the business and the products/domain to lead technological and architecture changes aligned with the overall product roadmap. Your core responsibilities are: In collaboration with product owner, architecture and other key stakeholders define the product roadmap and the quarterly objectives key results needed to support this. You will play a lead role in discovery, design, implementing (including elements of delivery management) and embedding change to our product offerings. Working closely with our squad(s), our partners and other internal teams this involves breaking down complex tasks, identifying and managing dependencies and supporting technical decision making/solutioning that ensures we are maximising value and achieving our goals. Drive maturity of our centre of excellence(s) to define standards and improve best practise adoption of our products. Supported by service management you will have accountability across day to day operations and running of products ensuring availability, security, performance and compliance including triage and resolution of high impacting incidents. Work with product owner in business case creation/ideation and play a lead role in discovery, inception, execution and embedding phases of larger projects. Drive and advocate our agile maturity. You will take ownership of a backlog that includes writing epics and breaking these down into user stories with acceptance criteria, prioritising work, removing impediments, defining sprint goals ensuring the team are aligned towards common a goal and understand what good looks like. Role model continuous improvement and customer focus that extends to include evaluating effectiveness of tools, processes and methodologies, how we work, and take responsibility for identifying and nurturing recommendations for driving continuous improvement, automation and adoption of best practises. Skills and Experience Domain expertise in enterprise monitoring / observability products including SCOM, AppDynamics Sitescope (or equiv) Strong technical background in engineering / sysadmin (or equiv) 3+ years' experience in a squad/product lead or ownership role (or equiv) with demonstrable experience managing and leading a cross-functional team ideally in both operations and change/delivery Exposure to service management concepts including IT Cyber controls Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience which is required to drive conversations, constructively challenge, and to be able to interface with architects engineers as well as executive and general managers. You will need a risk mindset with ability to balance compliance, risk, finance and feature enablement when prioritising. Experience with Agile ways of working including Scrum and Kanban Experience with centre of excellence (desirable) Experience working with COTS technologies Experience with delivery and operational frameworks such as SDLC and ITIL If you have the above skills and experience please apply online now!
