Group Accountant Illovo Johannesburg Gauteng Our Client a Group of businesses in Illovo Sandton Johannesburg is looking for a Group Accountant with 3-4 years’ experience dealing with 5 entities in the Group. Must have a CA(SA) or CIMA or Bcom with Honours.Salary Negotiable plus medical aid and pension/providentMin RequirementsQualification – CA(SA) or CIMA or a B-Com honorsMust have a sound knowledge of Income TaxMust be an expert in ERP systemsUse the Deltek Vision suite of accounting & reporting software and VIP payroll administration and ESS for Leave applications ResponsibilitiesTake and maintain responsibility for the maintenance, operation and proactive application of financial management tools and reporting systems relevant to the Group businesses and their business environment.Continually develop appropriate types of financial reports related to the businessesIssue statements and invoices to clients, based on proactive study and understanding of commercial agreementsAssist the Operations Director with the financial aspects of all activities that require financial planning, management, and reportingAttend Board Meetings of all companies, held once every four months.Improve cash flow through efficient and regular invoicingReconcile creditor’s and debtors’ accounts and the company’s bank accounts.Report on aged accounts and push for the payment of outstanding invoices, including proactive escalation to directors where resistance to payments develops.Track and invoice and collect administrative costs disbursed on behalf of clients into projects.Compile and prepare all SARS payments on e-filing within the stipulated time framesReport on the company’s operations, to facilitate cash flow planning and financial decision-making.Regularly interface with the company’s auditors and prepare and assist in the completion of annual audits, leading to the timeous production of AFS’s.Advise the directors on withholding tax provisions in different countries on the African continent, where the company carries out project work, and ensure that these provisions are priced into bids that are made to international clients.Financial reporting, and the setting up and control over data capture on cost centers in the office, provided by others.Prepare budgets on an annual basis, and expenditure reports against budgets every four months.
