THALES Belfast is currently recruiting a Driver to provide support to the Logistics department in respect of collection and delivery of company products including security classified items, prohibited firearms and hazardous material. You will be responsible for the safe delivery of company products using company vehicles. The role will support activities within and outside company facilities. The position requires a flexible and adaptable approach in terms of short notice tasks and on occasions travel to other THALES sites around the UK. Principle Relationships: Reporting to Logistics/Deputy manager. Working closely with Logistics and Despatch. Supporting Operations, Trials and Sales. Key Responsibilities and Tasks: Drive a variety of vehicles mainly Lorries and Vans. Loading and unloading your vehicle. Deliver all company products as required, ensuring all safety and security requirements are met. Assist with appropriate routing and secure parking as and when required. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine daily maintenance checks. Advise and report any vehicle defects. Work in support of THALES site operations as required. Must obtain and maintain required qualifications E.g. ADR, CPC Skills and Experience Skills: Essential Clean UK driving licence. Valid UK CAT C licence. Must be physically fit as the role often requires heavy lifting. Must hold a minimum security clearance of SC or be prepared to obtain to satisfy security requirements. Desirable ADR qualified or willing to obtain as and when required CPC in date Forklift licence Experience: Essential Must have a minimum of 5 years driving experience. Good navigation skills. Desirable Undertake training to gain valid qualifications. Be familiar with the local area. Behaviours: Have good time keeping. Shape solutions as and when required. Team player.
