Job Description: Details of the role and how it fits into the team The Software Engineer is responsible for: Ensuring the specification and design of information systems meet business needs. The design, creation, testing and documenting of new and amended software components from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed development and security standards and processes. The planning, design, management, execution and reporting of tests, using appropriate testing tools and techniques The processing and coordination of appropriate and timely responses for incidents resolution This person must be in close contact with multiple local (Spanish) teams (business and operations) helping on the requirements definition, and providing them support in testing phases. Your key responsibilities Requirements definition Involved in the technical design, development, testing and production rollout of projects, enhancements, and maintenance of a specific set of applications Deep technical knowledge in those systems under him/her responsibility. Ensure IT Application Life Cycle standards are applied in ongoing enhancements and maintenance activities. Maximum operational availability and stability Cost efficiency Your skills and experiences Experience in Cross Border Payments products. Experience with technical documentation, components design and software development. Person with solid technical knowledge and able to understand business needs. Mainframe (Cobol/CICS/DB2) expertise for more than 8 years. Teamwork capacity. Good communication skills. Ability to identify risks. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of Agile methodology applied to applications development. Good Spanish and English level allowing fluid oral and writing communications.
