Investment Management at APMT APM Terminals Investments team is responsible for portfolio investment transactions and executing on APMT’s Growth and portfolio strategy (greenfield projects/tenders, expansions, acquisitions, mergers etc.). This position will support by helping secure new investment and divestment projects through analyzing the industry and market segments, developing various business cases for large scale portfolio transactions. About your role We are currently looking for a Manager Investments to join APM Terminals Investments team at our headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands. In this role as deputy project lead you will assist in the execution of MA and large scale public tenders for port infrastructure projects. Next to managing your own project workstream, you will also prepare business cases and support in preparing materials for negotiations. Preparing materials for and help drive the internal approval process for investment and divestment projects is also part of your key responsibilities. As such you will analyze and compile industry and competitor information for senior management and drive specific sector, industry, and trade reviews. You will contribute to, and where appropriate, drive the development of solutions to customer specific projects and/or tender requirements Assists in managing / reporting on the Project/Opportunity Pipeline. About you It is a great advantage if you have experience with the port and shipping market. You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance and business administration or other relevant study (or MBA) is an advantage. Within the job scope you have consistent experience, at least 3-5 years increasing responsibility in strategy, MA and/or Corporate/Business Development. You have strong (corporate) finance skills including experience and knowledge of valuation, modelling, synergy quantification, risk and upside evaluation. Project Management skills are your second nature, so in short you are well-organized, timely, and persistent. You have a good understanding and hands-on experience with MA processes and preparing for due diligence. You enjoy using your strong analytical mind to solving problems and overcoming business and legal constraints. You are driven and have intellectual curiosity and interest in taking on new tasks. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). You possess and can show empathy, personal tact, and multi-cultural understanding. It is a given that you have the ability to handle sensitive information to maintain strict confidentiality The English language does not have secrets for you. You are therefore fluent in English (written and spoken), other languages (preferably with focus on emerging markets) and international work experience are beneficial. Does above sound like you?
