The Industry Solutions team delivers solutions that are a combination of Software, Hardware Services across Rockwell’s ecosystem. As Data Architect Integration Leader you hold a critical role on our team and are responsible for technical leadership and development of cloud-centric, hybrid, on-prem applications and platform architectures and standards for use across Industry Solutions Rockwell Automation products. You would be part of the Industry Solutions team responsible for driving the data architecture integration vision and strategy for the entire portfolio spanning multiple industries. The architect will provide architectural guidance across Rockwell Automations software product portfolio and will help drive use of modern technologies to expand the usability and functionality of existing products and innovate new products and solutions. This position will allow you to collaborate with multiple global cross-functional teams and cloud-based partners. The Data Architect Integration Leader oversees initiatives for improving cloud-based data management processes across industry solutions products. Main Responsibilities: Oversees initiatives for improving cloud-based data management processes across industry solutions products. Leads industrial domain driven data modelling and cross-domain contextualization creation. Defines and leads implementation of centralized Master Data Management capabilities used by multiple products. Establishes standards and best practices for high performance data integration client/Edge-to-server/Cloud based pipelines in a multi-tenant environment. Prototype data integration utilities using open source or specialized SDKs in Python and/or Dot Net. Perform schema creation, data contextualization, data storage ETL components build using Cognite Data Fusion designer as well as using SDK/APIs. Establishes guidelines for general data modelling and contextualization for application development teams. Serve as a key Cloud-centric data management expert and advisor on relevant solution activities (including technical evaluations) and partner engagements Provide technical leadership with respect to Data Management and collaborate on key architectural decisions and design considerations with regards to software development and architectural/solution designs Provide technical consulting on an as-needed basis to business units and product teams. Assist with critical high profile problem resolution. Significantly contribute to the development and implementation of the product strategic direction in terms of cloud technologies. Maintain technical expertise in field. Keep current through contacts with educational institutions, professional societies, and technical publications. Maintain awareness of applicable new technologies, processes, and competitive trends. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering / technical field, or equivalent experience. Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience 6+ years of a hands-on Solution Architect/Software Architect/Technical Lead role in agile software development architecting with languages in at least one of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python and Dot Net. Working knowledge with container technologies, microservices, Cloud security, DevOps, IoT, analytics, and machine learning. Experience with Industry domains data models (Life Sciences, CPG, Chemical, Mining, Automotive etc.) such as ISA-88 Batch process and ISA-95 Plant Hierarchy data models. Experience in building loosely connected extensible data models for future expansion and data migration strategies. Knowledge of Cognite Data Fusion data contextualization and Extractor based integration is strongly preferred. Experience in architecture, design, and/or development of multi-vendor and multi-tenant cloud applications. Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud (will consider other public cloud technologies), and related analytics and infrastructure services Experience designing large scale production enterprise software products and cloud applications. Experience in presenting strategies and providing effective training to industry councils and senior management, both internally and externally. This position can be performed remotely from any US Location. The base salary compensation range for this role is $119,840-$149.800 USD Annual with an annual target bonus of 8% of base salary.
