[What the role is] You will grow your career at NEA’s Environmental Health Institute (EHI), where you will design and execute field and laboratory research to better understand pollutant exposures and associated public health risk. You will use field sampling, laboratory chemical analysis, and data analytics to investigate environmental pollutants. Through experimental research and reviewing of available literature and regulatory guidelines, you will provide science-based advice to inform decision-making, and work with stakeholders to translate scientific findings into policy and operations. [What we are looking for] Job requirements Excellent knowledge of environmental analytical chemistry and management of emerging pollutants; experience in conducting research on environmental pollutants including field sampling techniques and design of field monitoring studies Good working knowledge on laboratory analysis techniques including the use of liquid and gas chromatography – mass spectrometry systems Experience in data/statistical analysis Keen interest in public health and research Capacity for system thinking and inclination for trans-disciplinary science Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Meticulous and analytical, with good communication and interpersonal skills Applicants will be updated on the status of their applications within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
