Providing a consulting engineering service for the design, implementation and close-out of commercial refrigeration installations. The role consists of a holistic refrigeration spectrum from inception, detailed design, documentation and procurement, construction, site monitoring and ultimately project close out.Key Responsibilities:An awareness of South African National Standards (SANS), ASHRAE etc. will be advantageous.Air/fluid/heat transfer/thermodynamics etc. tertiary education subject/elective will be advantageous.Must be familiar with the refrigeration cycle and primary equipment.An proficiency in VBA and Dynamo will be advantageousAssistance on design, based on client requirements and specifications.Interest in various engineering modeling software and BIM conversant is essential (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etc.)Interest in all project stages from inception through to close-out and competent in constructing and compiling tender documentation and management of that process.Assisting with the compilation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s)Assisting engineers on equipment specifications understanding and approvalsAssisting engineers on quality control (QA/QC)Site supervision and construction monitoringTrouble shooting on existing installationsAssisting on cost control (related to mechanical installations only)Project scoping and scope monitoringHealth and Safety:Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around youContributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero HarmEmbracing, displaying and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times, whether in the office environment, on construction sites or in the general environment
