Exercise Oncology / Cancer Survivorship Post Graduate Scholarships (PhD or Masters) Scholarships We are seeking applications to undertake a PhD or Masters (MS) program within the Improving Health Outcomes for People (ihop) program of research based at Griffith University. Students will use research to answer real world questions and issues that have impact on practice and policy related to cancer survivorship and exercise oncology.Research project areasThe ihop research group have a special interest cancer survivorship, in particular:Cancer treatment-related side effects including lymphoedema, fatigue and pain.Exploring the role of healthy lifestyles (with a special focus on exercise and weight management strategies) in the prevention and management of chronic disease.We focus on evaluating practice-changing outcomes of interest and real-world interventions that are accessible to all, and are committed to translating our research findings into practice through workforce and consumer education, policy change and improved access to healthy lifestyle services.The successful candidates will be supervised by Professor Sandi Hayes (********) and other ihop affiliated researchers. Scholarships will provide opportunities to link into the ihop research program and its current trials from key stakeholders and experts in the field of cancer survivorship.What we offerMultiple PhD and MS scholarships are available will will be funded and will provide a tax free stipend per annum (and tuition fees/OSHC if applicable).Please see ******** for more information relating to PhD and research degrees, scholarship funds and entry requirements.Who we areThe Improving Health Outcomes for People (ihop) research program sits within the Menzies Health Institute Queensland at Griffith University, Brisbane.The ihop research team is made up of leading researchers and clinicians who all share a common goal of improving health outcomes for people affected by cancer via research and research translation. Our projects focus on cancer prevention, early detection and the physical and psychosocial recovery process following cancer treatment.
