The Civil Engineer will work on High Tech and Logistics Industrial facility type projects that are designed in the South Carolina Regional B+P group with a focus on the civil aspects of the design including grading, drainage, and utilities.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineerGathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined proceduresWorks on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple testsProposes approach to solve new problems encounteredPerforms interdisciplinary review of project deliverables and identifies discrepancies in resultsProvides guidance to entry level engineersPrepares technical specification sectionsPerforms work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervisionDesign of utilities, roadways, general site development, grading and drainage, best management practices, erosion control, profiles, typical sections, cross sections, hydraulicsDrainage studies include low impact development strategies hydrologyPreparation of drawings, specifications, basis of design, technical memosPreparation of permits such as NPDES, SWPPP, Grading, DCAB, Civil Support of an Environmental AssessmentWork with other professional staff members to collaborate on reports, studies, drawings, and design narrativesBe familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPointWorking in an office setting with potential meetings outside of the office or visits to sites where a project may be located
