We currently require a High Voltage Estimator to join a reputable firm that specialises in providing high voltage solutions for power utility, industrial and resource, rail and renewable energy sectors.About the RoleThe successful candidate can choose from either Doncaster VIC or Adelaide SA. The Estimator is responsible for projects across Victoria and/or South Australia.This role will utilise your specialised technical knowledge of electrical engineering and high voltage infrastructure, your commercial business acumen and existing relationships with Australian utilities, regulators and renewable clients.   You will play a critical role in the initial technical evaluation of business opportunities and tenders.  Reporting to and working closely with the (SA/VIC) Regional Manager, you will review and respond to capture new business opportunities and implement effective systems to manage sensitive commercial information.About YouTo be successful in this valued role, you will:Have experience in estimating HV infrastructure projects (including substations)Be tertiary qualified in Electrical EngineeringHave existing relationships with Australian utilities, regulators and renewable clientsHave experience with a broad range of project delivery processes and contractsFamiliar with the design and construction of high voltage infrastructureBe solution-focused and driven to provide excellent customer serviceBe a clear and logical thinker who can quickly understand risks and issues and work to mitigate or resolve them efficientlyBe an excellent communicator (oral and written) with strong stakeholder management skills, focused on building and maintaining relationshipsHave commercial and financial business acumen and ability to assess riskBe technically savvy with advanced Microsoft Suite skills (Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint)Manage priorities to meet deadlines
