Italy is Thales Group’s competence centre for tramway signalling solutions. The activity of SIX domain: mission critical solutions and applications for assets and citizens security (supervision, control and information management systems) as well as cybersecurity. Thales offers solutions to protect the information systems and critical data of its civilian and military customers and helps its customers to detect and prevent cyberattacks by devising secure architectures from the design stage, overseeing these architectures and ensures that they are kept in secure working order. Italy is Thales Group’s competence centre for Airport security and operations management solutions. JOB OBJECTIVE: Reporting to the Defense Business Director of Thales Italia, the- NSC Manager is responsible for the operations and for the industrial development of the Thales Italia Navy Service Centre. He/she will be responsible for the overall NSC business plan with a focus on delivering state-of-the-art support services to the Italian Navy. Within a global drive for expansion of the Thales Italia footprint, the NSC Manager, supported by the Thales Italia Bid organization, will be responsible for the capture of new business with the aim of achieving organic growth and profitability of the activity. He/she will be the main point of contact towards the UWS BL and Legal entities involved in transferring capacity and knowledge to the NSC. He/she will be the main point of contact with the ITN for subjects related to the operation of the NSC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Reporting to the Defense Business Director, the NSC Manager will have the following responsibilities Responsible for state-of-the-art support services through the NSC Management of the Technical team Lead the progressive acquisition of native Sonar Support competences Leadership and ownership of NSC business plan Leadership in new business Capture activity Main POC for the ITN in relation to the NSC activities Support to the Defense Domain in relation to wider promotion activities towards the ITN Timely, proactive, value added internal reporting on the NSC activity SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: More than 20 years experience in the Military Naval Sector, preferably with the Italian Navy. Naval combat system familiarity. Proven capacity to deliver complex projects in the Defense sector. Leadership, interpersonal skills, team management skills. International experience. Full English proficiency. Full Italian Proficiency. French proficiency as a plus. Professional and ethical rigor.
