As Software Engineering you will be responsible for the delivery of software, which may include new development, configuration, maintenance and installation of third-party packages, and software integration efforts. It may include tasks from every part of the software development lifecycle, including software and website design, development, programming, and software deployment (both the installation and decommissioning of software). As well as proper working knowledge and experience with Hexagon SDX, SPF or AVEVA (ISM, AIM-A, Gateway) and Bentley solutions as a configurator. In Addition, your role is within the Projects Engineering (PE) and Asset Technology portfolio space. This offers the opportunity to work on the development and support of the application in technologies of DOT NET, Angular, React JS, and Restful API to grow your technical expertise for the applications/modules of your scope. The role requires you to be a proactive/independent, strong software engineering skilled individual that learns and is familiar with software development/delivery methods (SDLC, CI/CD). It also includes actively working with key IT and Business stakeholders to plan and execute the approach for implementing a digital solution, incremental delivery of releases, enhancements and fixes according to the roadmaps that are agreed upon with IT portfolio management and key business user communities. Strong knowledge of DOT NET, Angular, React JS and Restful API is an added advantage in this role. Technical Responsibilities are as follows: Working across PE and Asset Technologies portfolio as a software engineer. Develop domain knowledge in the Engineering Information Management space to provide consultation and guide businesses (Shell projects/assets) in choosing the right digital solution to fulfil their business requirements and play a pivotal role in delivering the agreed solution as a development engineer. Incremental development and delivery of releases of applications according to the agreed roadmap, in coordination with the application vendor. Providing L3 support to businesses by working closely with both IT and Business Stakeholders and application vendors. Following Agile and DevOps model in delivering, supporting and maintaining the applications. Foster relationships with other IT teams in Shell that contribute to application integration and the end-to-end service delivery model of the relevant applications. Also, work in larger projects as developer to implement new applications and interfaces. Keep technical expertise up to date Build a strong working relationship with Product Line Managers (PLMs), Project Managers Business Users. Ability to learn domain skills expected in Capital Projects/Assets Virtual working in a global environment with culturally diverse teams and across many organizational and geographical boundaries (within and across IT support and delivery organizations, incl. suppliers) High degree of application, technology and SaaS landscape complexity and integration Working as one team with business support teams to ensure seamless development and deployments of changes and maximum added value for the business by proposing continuous improvements in line with the business needs and strategy What We Need from You With 5 to 10 years of relevant corporate IT experience Graduate with bachelor’s degree related to relevant Engineering Discipline Good understanding of Engineering Data Warehousing and Document Management concepts. Understanding of Discipline Engineering and Capital projects in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred) Understanding of Reference Data Library Standards. Software Development Skills – C#.Net, ASP.Net, ASP.Net Core, Azure Web API, REST APIs, Web jobs and Azure functions (preferred) Experienced with Software Delivery Life Cycle methodologies especially Agile and waterfall models. Ability to multi-task, plan and schedule own work completely for short-term assignments. Good English communication skills, both written and verbal. Stakeholder Management: understand, work efficiently and communicate effectively within a complex organization with multiple stakeholders Ability to work effectively and manage relationships with senior Business leaders, peers and subordinates, in a virtual, geographically dispersed and cross-cultural environment Understands and can describe how own work fits into the broader organizational goals and objectives Understands and can identify internal and external customers, key stakeholders and suppliers/strategic partners. At least one of the following tools: i) SDX Proper working knowledge and experience in working with SDx (or SPF) Modules like Schema Object Administration, System Administration (Forms, Methods, Conditions, Security, Columnsets, etc.), Change Management Administration, Schema Editor. Well *** with configuration of SDx Suite of modules including Data Validator (or Smart Data Validator application), DataCapture Administration (or SmartPlant Fusion application), SmartPlant Markup, etc... Well *** with configuration of SDx Webclient functionalities Knowledgeable in Webclient extensibility . Very good knowledge in Document management, Transmittals, Workflows, Vault management with replication and various other SPF functionalities. ii) AVEVA EDW Proficient in administration and configuration of AIM-A (preferred)/AVEVA-NET , ISM. Working knowledge and experience in administration and configuration of WorkTasks and Register Gateway (preferred).
