QA ENGINEERING LEAD – index technology Key Functions and Responsibilities As a highly skilled QA Engineering Lead, this individual will be responsible for building robust test strategies for critical applications for Benchmarking and Indices Division of LSEG. The individual will come with a strong test engineering experience and be responsible for owning the vision, strategy, and implementation of modern test automation tools. This role reports to Head of the function. Role Responsibilities Drive and implement the Quality Assurance vision for various business critical initiatives by working closely with the scrum teams, technology, and business stakeholders. Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans and methodologies for business-critical applications that are hosted on multiple technologies. Continuously assess the various automation tools and frameworks available in the market and apply the most appropriate practices Has a solid understanding of both functional and non-functional testing Reviews the QA activity across multiple teams on a sprint basis and understands the gaps/blockers that are hindering the efficiency of the development team. Defines quality metrics and processes to measure team performance regularly review the progress Assists in hiring and growing high-quality software testing team. Be accountable for the delivery of the product by working very closely with the Engineering Development Managers Miniumum Requirements At least 10+ years of experience in QA Automation and leadership This is role is for a strong technology manager who has great passion to improve the quality of software development. Strong hands-on experience in best-in-class automation technologies like Selenium, PyTest and any modern AI tools Thorough knowledge of at least one programming language – C#, Java, or Python Proven experience of test engineering, planning and execution of multiple initiatives that involve data intensive operations, web applications and process orchestration Significant experience in stakeholder management and being in control of E2E Roadmap and delivery of the project Good experience of working on solutions/projects that involved migrating from Database applications to Micro-services Good experience in AWS Some experience of Business and Technical Analysis, Quality Assurance, Delivery Management, and/or Emerging Technology and Governance Strong verbal and written communication skills Advantageous Experience: Financial and Index markets experience Type of Person Articulate, energetic person able to work alone or as part of a team Excellent attention to detail but an ability to think laterally to solve business problems Ability to learn quickly Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines Creative, results driven, self-motivated, and solutions oriented Demonstrates a can-do attitude, exhibits self-confidence Excellent organizational and time management skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Experience of managing or influencing key decision makers Able to establish credibility quickly LSEG is a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider.
