You will have the ability to provide a mentor and lead a team and have a passion for technology ensuring the delivery of high-quality enterprise-class products. In this position, you will manage a software development team and the scalability, longevity, and durability of relevant product releases. You will report directly to the Senior Director of engineering. Responsibilities Provide people leadership and mentorship to the analytics development and test engineering team Drive a long-term technology roadmap for On-Prem and Cloud Analytics at Vocera Manage the architecture, design, development, build and internal deployment On level 2 support of all products related to analytics Lead the Agile development process, including planning, code reviews, code hygiene, and alignment with important product releases Collaborate with the scalability team, Technical Support, Escalations team, and DevOps to anticipate and mitigate potential deployment issues as well as troubleshoot issues encountered by customers Partner with Portfolio Management to help define the product feature roadmap Own and drive the technology roadmap to achieve the product roadmap deliverables Anticipate and mitigate potential deployment issues Establish schedules and monitor progress against intermediate and final development targets Competencies Experience with managing the development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications and solutions Solid experience and mastery of software engineering, advanced OOP design patterns, and leading software development and test teams in an Agile environment to deliver enterprise-class platform products Sophisticated understanding of data technologies, Open Source as well as commercial products including, ETL, Data warehousing, Data visualizations, Machine Learning, and its practical applications Experience with Cloud Data Warehouse and Cloud Data Lake technologies like Snowflake and Databricks Solid ability to lead evaluation of development and test automation tools needed to deliver analytics solutions Demonstrated experience building teams and showing strong leadership – hiring and developing talent, vision to inspire and excite team, and management of performance Deep experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, RedHat, and VMWare, as well as server administration, networking Good knowledge of user interface technologies Dedicated in the face of ambiguous requirements; unafraid to explore new ideas and technologies Demonstrated ability to use data to improve processes and evaluate design options Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, communication, and documentation skills Good understanding of hospital-related clinical communication and collaboration workflows Requirements Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent 8+ years of proven experience leading the Agile development and delivery of full-stack software solutions including 5+ years leading development teams 5+ years of demonstrated ability to effectively utilize data analytics to publish beneficial insights and provide improvement recommendations Some travel, mostly international, will be needed Travel Percentage: 10% Stryker is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies and, together with its customers, is driven to make healthcare better. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
