About the Role: As a Senior QA DevOps engineer, you will be part of Cross functional product development team. Your role is to ensure the team achieves high standards on product quality. You will act as a coach to other members of the team to strive for the high test automation coverage across all phases of testing so that development team can have confidence in committing changes late in the release. Building a QA strategy with the necessary best practices is essential for organizations that are embracing the DevOps movement. Putting down the quality metrics in DevOps, which helps teams to identify bugs early in the development cycle. Defining the metrics to integrate them within the organizational culture at various levels. In this way, quality is ensured at every level and development teams also get enabled. Your considerable skills will be applied to not only test the application/software with various testing tools and methodologies but also to fix the code. You will have to push the new development code into production using DevOps tools to ensure a seamless deployment of infrastructure and tools. Thereby releasing code on a consistent basis and taking responsibility to ensure quality is not just limited to killing the bug. Be a part of Agile teams and help deliver sprint goals Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement and task estimation Help coach with wider team on fail first testing methods and achieve and maintain high quality standards Travelling as needed to other Maersk locations to meet and work with team members and stakeholders based abroad You may be asked to perform out-of-hours support tasks What are we looking for Experience of developing and implementing fail fast test automation strategies, solutions, frameworks and tests across the development lifecycle and in turn supporting rapid development of automated tests to integrate in CI/CD pipeline. Working within an Agile environment with TDD and BDD methodologies Deep knowledge of test automation development languages, tools and methodologies such as HTML, CSS, JSON, Gherkin, DOM and associated technologies and toolsets (e.g. jQuery, Selenium Web/IDE, Grid, Jmeter) Experience in testing UIs for multi-lingual websites, including Arabic and Chinese languages Understands technologies and techniques used in the support of applications, including (but not limited to) logging, monitoring and alerting Able to write functional and non-functional testing code through responsive or adaptive techniques Able to write mock code or virtualise services using frameworks such as Mokito, Powermock, Wiremock etc Very good understanding of Cloud Native architecture and development Experience in building and maintaining CI pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ADO, Github Actions Able to build, change, and version infrastructure safely and efficiently using tools such as Terraform Solid written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate technical complexity to be understood by both technical and non-technical personnel Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing Ownership of problems until they are resolved User-focused, whether responding to support queries or developing new features and functionality We’d be thrilled if you tick off all our boxes yet we also believe it’s just as important we tick off all of yours.
