Job Description Rockwell's Ladysmith Plant is hosting an on-site hiring event Thursday, September 21st from 2:00 to 5:00 PM! From entry level to experienced job seekers we may have a fit for you! Job offers will be given within 48 hours after the event! What: We will be hosting open interviews between 2-5 PM to fill current openings in our critical Operations Manufacturing department. We have several openings including Assemblers, Material Handler, Maintenance Tech, and Tool/Die/Mold Repair Tech! When: Thursday, September 21st from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM! Where: Ladysmith Plant - 1506 E 16th St S, Ladysmith, WI 54848 Directions: Enter the main office door up the small staircase located on the east side of the facility next to the flagpole. Current Openings Job Summaries: Tool/Die/Mold Repair Tech level 3 needed on 1st shift starting at $27.56/hr: Modifies, maintains, calibrates and repairs plastic injection molding tools, dies, jigs and fixtures. Works with engineers and tool designers to develop and modify tools. Works from blueprints, specifications and diagrams. Checks work with precision instruments. Maintenance Tech level 4 needed on 2nd shift starting at $30.07/hr: Maintains and repairs the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers. Material Handler level 2 needed 2nd shift starting at $15.58/hr: Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. Assemblers 1 2 needed on 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts starting at $15.19/hr: Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. May perform rework and quality testing. Work typically includes interaction with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel. Shifts: start and end times may vary by 30 mins depending on the department 1st shift is Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM w/no shift premium 2nd shift is Monday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM w/a 6% shift premium 3rd shift is Sunday-Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM w/a 10% shift premium Overtime: Mandatory overtime is typically extending the 8-hour workday to a 10-hour work day. Occasional Saturdays as well. Mandatory overtime varies depending on department. Minimum Qualifications: Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
