This is an exciting brand-new career opportunity for a Commercial Lawyer who has exposure to the renewable energy sector and an understanding of electricity markets and/or renewable energy projects and construction.Key responsibilities:Provide specialist support on energy regulations (particularly electricity) and electricity offtake agreements (PPAs and cap contracts)Provide legal support, negotiation and drafting with respect toThe electricity market – advising on the National Electricity Market and power purchase agreements desirable; orRenewable energy projects – advising on project development, construction and operations contracts including EPC and EPCm modelsProvide legal support and assistance in the negotiations for and drafting of a wide range of commercial contracts required for the development, construction of and offtake from renewable energy projectsDraft, review and negotiate commercial contractual documentation consistent with corporate policies and appropriate to protect our interestsAdvise on energy market regulatory changes and support Squadron’s policy advocacyAssist in identifying and managing key legal risks to and within the group
