[What the role is] You will be part of MPA’s Shipping Division that is instrumental in maintaining the Singapore Ship Registry (SRS) as a major and quality flag through working in close partnerships with ship owners and operators, and the wider maritime industry to facilitate the growth of their maritime businesses in Singapore. [What you will be working on] Your key duties include: • Process ship registration applications and issuance of ship-related such as Certificate of Registry, Civil Liability Oil Pollution Certificate (CLC) and Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR) • Record of bill of sale and mortgage and updating the changes to ship’s particulars in the register • Carry out testing for newly rolled-out services and system enhancements • Promote the various incentives schemes applicable to Singapore ships and process the applications for enrolment into the schemes • Corresponding and liaising with ship owners, ship managers, lawyers and bankers as well as attending to the day-to-day office routine such as enquiries from the general public on services provided by the Singapore Ship Registry (SRS) • Support digitalisation effort and development of new ship registry system [What we are looking for] You should be a good team player, is meticulous and able to work independently. You should also possess good interpersonal and communication skills. As this is a fast-paced job, you should have good time management skills and be able to work well under pressure. This position will be a 2-year contract appointment.
