For more information, visit www.ntu.edu.sg About NIE About RSIS About LKCMedicine About NTUItive The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is looking for a Research Fellow to join the research project “ATTAIN*SG: Achieving public TrusT in AI in autoNomous vehicles in SinGapore”. ATTAIN*SG is an interdisciplinary, multi-pronged, and multi-stakeholder investigation of factors motivating and hindering the achievement of public trust in artificial intelligence governance in autonomous vehicles in Singapore. This includes analysis of policies in place, how they can be improved, how they are communicated to the public, and the role of policy, governance, communication, and other factors in achieving public trust. Working closely with the Lead PI (Prof Shirley Ho: ********/) and the rest of the team, the Research Fellow is expected to undertake the conceptualization, organization, and implementation of the project. Specifically, the Research Fellow will be required: (a) to develop qualitative tools (e.g., interview questions, focus group moderator guides for public discussions) and quantitative tools (e.g., survey questionnaires), managing data collection, and analysing data; and (b) contribute to the writing of the white paper and papers intended for conference presentations and publications. More information can be found here: ******** Job Responsibilities Conduct literature search Engage in development and conceptualization of focus group interview and survey Conduct data analysis of interview and survey data Contribute to research publications and presentations Write progress report and final research report Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator Carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary Job Requirements PhD degree in fields including communication, psychology, sociology, or a social science related discipline Prior experience in focus group interview and survey for social science research Good quantitative data management and analytical skills (e.g., being able to analyze data using SPSS, MPLUS, R, and/or Python) Good communication and organizational skills (ability to work in a highly collaborative and multi-cultural team environment) Team player in a project setting, also with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment Must demonstrate initiative and good interpersonal communication skills An internationally recognized research track record as evidenced by journal publications and conference presentations The successful applicant will be offered an initial contract of one year, renewable for another two-years.
