The Centre for Research and Development in Learning (CRADLE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow. The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (CRADLE@NTU) supports multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research across NTU devoted to transforming learning in higher education. Leveraging on knowledge and methods from education, psychology, organizational behavior, neuroscience, and technology design, CRADLE aims to develop and test theories to explain learning processes. CRADLE seeks applications for the position of Research Fellow for a 2-year term (with renewable opportunities). Our current search is for candidate(s) interested in cognitive neuroscience of learning in emerging skills (reading and numeracy). Suitable candidates will play a crucial role in coordinating between subprojects to meet the objectives of the multidisciplinary project in identifying neural mechanisms and validated screeners for reading and math difficulties (LD). Key Responsibilities: Conducting independent research Handling grant proposal documentation and associated administrative tasks Conducting literature search and writing reviews Supervising and leading team of researchers Central role in coordinating and running of neurocognitive studies Coordinating between and liaising with faculty from different disciplines Other administrative duties Job Requirements: Possess an earned doctorate (PhD) degree in various backgrounds such as: experimental psychology, biopsychology, cognitive psychology, neuropsychology, neurology, psychiatry, cognitive neuroscience, developmental science, and related fields. Experience with conducting and coordinating behavioral experiments in neuropsychology or cognitive psychology. Experience working within educational research settings. Experience with quantitative statistical analysis Familiarity with coding (Python, Matlab etc). Familiarity with neuroimaging techniques (functional and diffusion MRI/fNIRS) a plus. Excellent command of the English language, as well as writing and communication skills Experience with systematic reviews and meta-analysis Experience in producing research reports Good statistical knowledge and skills, including familiarity with statistical analysis software such as R and SPSS. Knowledge and experience in social science research methodologies and educational research Experience in using graphical-user interfaced software e.g. Qualtrics, Google forms Supervisory and leadership skills for teams Person-oriented communication and coordination skills We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
