Job Description: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide support for and manage U.S. DWS litigation, arbitration and regulatory enforcement and employment matters Provide internal legal support in coordination with outside counsel on global litigation, regulatory enforcement and employment matters Advise on litigation strategy and settlement options Work closely with Deutsche Bank’s Litigation Regulatory Enforcement group on collateral consequence analysis with regard to bank regulatory matters that may impact DWS Provide legal advice in connection with internal investigations Provide reporting on litigation/regulatory enforcement matters to external auditors and supervisory authorities Provide support in connection with the development and maintenance of litigation and regulatory enforcement related policies Provide support in connection with e-Discovery, legal holds and other discovery, including supporting IT in e-discovery Assist with the maintenance of data rooms Assist with regulatory enforcement examinations Coordinate with outside counsel to advise on the implications and relevance of developments in employment laws, and employment related policies, procedures, operations and initiatives Work closely with Compliance and the Risk Functions Participate in or represent the legal department on various internal committee meetings KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires a J.D. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a litigation/regulatory lawyer. Experience working in a mid-to-large law firm, with Securities and Exchange Commission, and/or legal department of a financial services company. Securities litigation experience is required; real estate law and employment law litigation experience is desirable. Strong analytical, written and oral communication and relationship-building skills are required. Must be able to work effectively and independently, facing senior management, in a demanding, fast-paced, fluid environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while maintaining the highest standards and attention to detail. Experience with PowerPoint and Excel is helpful.
