Your New RoleWe have an opportunity with one of our key programs providing support and maintenance of a large enterprise environment spanning multiple locations (please note a current NV2 clearance is preferred). This role will see you work within a high-performance leveraged midrange team working across a wide range of technologies with a focus on Linux support activities.The focus of the role as a Linux System Support Engineer will be to support system administration activities in a dynamic and collaborative workplace that encourages innovation, with a work scope that provides a real sense of purpose.Responsibilities include;Perform and coordinate Linux patching activities utilising satellite Support the provision of proactive and reactive support including configuration updates.Perform and coordinate system monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting and the generation of Problem/Incident tickets. Support the provision of proactive and reactive support including configuration updates.Supports the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes development of scripts to automate tasks.Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and proceduresProvide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures and maintain technical documentationApplication management and deployment
