We are currently recruiting Candidate Engineers - Rail Civils Design to support the execution of a large portfolio of local and international railway projects. The Candidate Engineers will engage in Candidate Programme elements and assist Engineers and a broader project team in producing design information while building analytic and design skills in the Rail Civils Design discipline. The Candidate Programme introduces and develops essential business and personal skills, enhancing the transition of Candidate Engineers from students to professionals.The role will require the Candidate Engineers to develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project BIM models required for rail track designs.They will work on drawings under the supervision of experienced Rail Civils Engineers.Assist with the development of design content by applying both design and technical knowledge to ensure high-quality outputs within project timelines.Under Supervision, they will perform work following agreed-upon budget and schedule.When required, collect, and analyse information from specific discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models.Use computer software as a tool for solving fundamental engineering problems. Coordinate with other discipline Engineers as applicable for the continuity of the design process.They will participate in design progress and coordination meetings. Check and ensure the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams for accuracy to design instructions. They are expected to actively seek information, opportunities to participate and contribute, and develop efficiencies and effectiveness in work delivery.They will contribute by solving problems and applying experience or theoretical knowledge to atypical assignments.Minimum Requirements:Appropriate demonstrable experience and understanding of railway civil infrastructure.Computer literate and conversant with MS Office suite and relevant engineering software packages that may include Bentley and Autodesk software.Ability to work within a collaborative environment, whilst having a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict project deadlines.Good communication skills to handle interactions with internal design teams, Clients, and partners.2+ years' post qualification experience.
