About the job AWS Lead Engineer – Cloud Productivity Engineering (CPE) In this role, you'll be joining our AWS Platform Engineering team within Cloud Productivity Engineering (CPE) as a Lead AWS Engineer. This team focuses on building, developing, and supporting our Standardized LSEG AWS cloud platform for the LSEG application and product teams to use. In collaboration with AWS, we strive to transform how LSEG uses the cloud platform. Engage in designing, developing, and building sophisticated cloud services and capabilities. Work alongside architects, developers, and other specialists to ensure efficient AWS Enterprise Scale Landing Zone platforms. Active involvement in decision making areas such as provisioning, automation, CI/CD, cost, networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery and governance. Required Skills proven experience in crafting, developing, and implementing cloud and hybrid AWS Platform solutions. Can demonstrate deep knowledge in setting up AWS Enterprise Scale Landing Zones and hands on experience with AWS’s Cloud Adoption Framework. Prior experience in roles such as AWS administration, development, or AWS-focused DevOps. Previous experience leading and/or mentoring Cloud teams/Communities of Practice/individuals. Expert knowledge with AWS cloud native components. Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in agile methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices. Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and Gitlab. Adept at collaborating in diverse teams, with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills And Experience 5 years’ hands on experience with AWS platform engineering. Proactive incident management with AWS-based troubleshooting. Education and Professional Skills Relevant Professional qualifications. BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM degree. Detailed Responsibilities Lead and guide platform engineers, encouraging best practices in AWS administration, development, and DevOps processes. Engineer and optimize hybrid AWS Platform solutions, focusing on but not limited to compute, network, storage, monitoring, security and automation. Collaborate with AWS Platform engineers, architects, and other stakeholders in the implementation of an AWS Enterprise Scale Landing Zone platform. Provide expertise in IT operations areas, such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, and governance, ensuring these areas align with the overall AWS Platform strategy. Participate in Project related activities to meet operational needs. To ensure knowledge articles of all supported systems are continually updated. To provide a high level of customer service, whilst working under pressure. To follow and adhere to established Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management procedures.
