The In-Service Electrical Department supports the Reactor Control and Instrumentation, Power Systems and Plant Sensors equipment across the UK. Electrical Design Engineers from a broad range of equipment support backgrounds would be considered and specific product-based training will be provided. You will be involved in delivering sensor design, modification work and providing in service support. The Design Engineer will be working closely with the supply chain, assessing component changes and design definition updates. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week. What you will be doing: You will be producing technical reports/operating manuals etc. supporting the delivered equipment. Delivering work packages to agreed time and costs. Responding to and rectifying in-service sensors equipment defects/requests for technical information involving some occasional on site work Evaluating the safety and integrity of the sensors products Produce safety case design documentation to support the safe operation of the plant. Electro-Mechanical Design experience ideally for 'In-Service' products or assets Experience of Lifecyle Engineering Electrical, mechanical or other relevant engineering qualification Knowledge of Sensor Systems/high integrity controls systems We’re an equal opportunities employer. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
