Manufacturing Engineer We have a great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Integrated Airspace-protection Systems (IAS) team in Belfast. Key responsibilities On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be involved in: Working as a member of a multi-functional team during the bid phase of a project to ensure that accurate labour and material estimates are compiled Creation of industrialisation work packages and manufacturing workbooks to support bid management Attending and contributing at meetings that may affect the department’s processes and performance Supporting the industrialisation of any new product developments using the manufacturing readiness standard processes Liaising with other engineering departments in preparation of labour and material estimates to ensure the accuracy of the end result Providing cost information to enable make/buy decisions to be made Analysing and reporting against actuals vs. standards costs About you Ideally, you’ll: Have an HNC (essential) and/or a degree (preferred) in an engineering discipline Possess prior experience working within manufacturing Have demonstrable work experience in Mechanical / Electrical assembly processes Have a working knowledge of product life cycle phases i.e. feasibility, development/design, manufacture, customer support, APQP Possess excellent numerical skills with a good mathematical background Benefits at Thales We strive to create an environment where you can prioritise your wellbeing and have designed our benefits to give you the flexibility and power to do so.
