Our Thales Netherlands IS/IT team works at the core of the Thales digital transformation. Together with a team of 130+ colleagues divided into 15 – mostly product related – Agile DevOps squads. We provide IS/IT support to our 2500 Dutch colleagues in several Business Lines and functions. We also work closely together with the international IS/IT departments of the Thales Group. Our mission? IT Engineering Support (ITEngSup) is part of the IS/IT department of Thales Netherlands. The IT Engineering Support chapter (following the Spotify model) consists of 30 enthusiastic IT engineers and consultants divided into three self-managing squads whilst working together closely using Agile methodologies. The chapter consists of systems-, software-, and IT architects, application specialists and DevOps engineers. We collect requirements, validate them against security protocols design solutions and implement them together with our stakeholders, but also with the other IS/IT squads. We maintain our own products and projects and are involved with the latest IS/IT developments within the Thales Group. About the job Join an innovative and agile team that follows the Scrum principles, working in bi-weekly sprints. As a vital part of this young and dynamic team, you'll be the driving force behind enhancing the capabilities of our System and Customer Service Engineers. Your role encompasses: ? Automation Mastery: Harness your expertise to automate existing and future (business) processes and applications. ? Engineering Support: Assist end-users with use of engineering applications by resolving incidents and providing guidance on their way of working to prevent incidents in the future. ? Global Collaboration: Collaborate with your international Engineering Support peers within the Thales Group. ? Research and Consultancy: Continuously explore and introduce new techniques and processes on the use of highly specialized industry specific software to our engineers, empowering them to excel in their work. ? Engineering Ecosystem: Thrive in a dynamic ecosystem of the broader engineering department, where opportunities for growth and learning are abound. What we are looking for Someone with a background or degree in Business Information Technologies on a Bachelor or Master level. To excel in this role, we are looking for the following qualifications and expertise: Strong affinity with IT, use of software and business processes. Being able to translate business needs to IT practices. An interest in automation and commitment to staying on top of emerging technologies. We expect a pro-active stance in taking responsibility, engaging with our engineering colleagues In this role, solutions are often not presented to you – skills in conducting research and problem resolution are key to succeeding. We believe in customer collaboration - a customer-oriented attitude and commitment to their satisfaction is key. Effective communication is an essential part of our daily work.
