Your New RoleWe have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to be our Systems Engineering Lead to support a multi-year Defence program to deliver an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System. This capability will enable better clinical decision making for the ADF and providing market leading healthcare to ADF personnel. In joining the team you will be a leading contributor to the projects overall success.Leading the project’s systems engineering team, our Systems Engineering Lead will guide the team on analysing, defining, developing, documenting, delivering and sustaining complex solutions for our ADF customers. Our Systems Engineers are based out of our Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra offices.Your remit will be as broad as it is challenging. Key responsibilities may include but not be limited to:System Requirement and Architecture DefinitionDevelopment and Support of Engineering System Reviews across the project/program lifecycle.Creation and Support of Engineering ASDEFCON CDRLsDevelopment and Support of Trade StudiesDefinition of System baselines to support System reviews and lifecycle stages.Understand current performance requirements and constraints, assess risks, rank developed solutions and develop change proposals for customer approval.Provide estimations for tasks and work packages associated with changes or proposed system upgrades.Identification/development of program Systems Engineering plans and procedures and oversight of their execution against project milestonesProvide feedback to the Project and Engineering Managers on the status of engineering tasksSupport the development of sustainment activities focussing on through life cost modelling.Provide technical support and guidance for integration, verification and validation (IVV), configuration management and security activities.Development and support of project and program safety deliverables, including but not limited to, Hazard Analysis, Safety Cases and Safety Verification.Development and support of project specification and design deliverables, including but not limited to, System/Sub-system Specifications, Requirements Traceability Matrices, Technical Documentation Trees and System/Sub-System/Interface Design Documentation.
