Primary Purpose of the Role This position is for a highly motivated individual who will lead a team of software developers working on Security Gateway for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. You will join our Engineering Competence Center at Bangalore, and will be responsible to lead the software design, development and testing activities in this domain based on the project requirements coming from a Business Line. You will interface with Systems, project and quality teams, and be responsible for meeting the QCD commitments as per the project needs. Key Responsibilities and Tasks Technical Leadership of a software team developing Embedded Security Gateway for connectivity with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Responsible for software deliverables such as software requirement specifications, software architecture design documents, test procedures and test cases Work closely with System Engineers to understand the system requirements and translate them into clear software requirements. Lead and/or participate in technical reviews, SW phase reviews, gate reviews, quality and safety reviews. Interface with Software Architect and take a lead in software design development activities Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team located internationally Maintain integrity and work ethics within the team Skills Required Mandatory Skills 10+ years of experience in design development of software solutions in complex embedded systems Strong programming skills in C/Embedded C Expertise in embedded software development on Linux or any RTOS platform Expertise in Networking protocols – UDP, TCP/IP, TFTP etc. Working knowledge of firewall policies (blacklist, flow regulation, anti-flooding), state machine equation interpreter Exposure to complete Software Development Life Cycle (software requirement analysis, design, coding and testing activities) Knowledge of configuration management tools - GIT / Jenkins / JIRA Sound knowledge of safety standards in aerospace, automotive or railways domain Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Good to have Experience in DO-178C standards and processes Knowledge about avionics protocols (ARINC-429, ARINC-664, RS-232) Hands-on experience with syntax analyzers – JSON, A702, BITE Knowledge of scripting languages like Python Understanding of Agile methodology Educational Qualification Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics Communication or equivalent Values and Behaviors High level of autonomy and efficiency. Ability to manage multiple kind of activities in parallel. Good organizational abilities and Good interpersonal skills Self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal direction.
