Job Description: Job Title Site Reliability Engineer – Payments Corporate Title Assistant Vice President Location Cary, NC Overview As a SRE Engineer on our Technology team, you will play a major role in building a strategic global platform for a real time payments application with low latency and high throughput in a global distributed team across regions with Scaled Agile Methodologies. What We Offer You A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits Educational resources, matching gift, and volunteer programs What You’ll Do You partner with Engineering stakeholders to design and deliver a reliable, scalable, secure, and performant platform You will be responsible for ensuring that the underlying infrastructure is running smooth, and that systems and tools are working as expected Continuous integration and continuous delivery Monitoring critical applications and services to minimize downtime and ensure their availability Work on Applications/Tools like Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Terraform, APM tools such as New Relic or AppDynamics, Splunk Write simple Structured Query Language (SQL) queries and work on some basic Programming (J2EE, JAVA) and configuring environment Skills You’ll Need Relevant experience with GitHub actions, Terraform (Preferably on Google Cloud), Google Cloud with SDK Relevant experience with Kubernetes deployment automation, OpenShift deployment automation, experience in configuring Jenkins’s pipeline preferably with groovy scripting, maven in Java and spring boot application and docker Experienced with Access Management Program (APM) tools such as New Relic or AppDynamics, creating dashboards and alerts, logging tools such as Splunk, creating dashboards and alerts Expertise on shell scripting and certificate management, knowledge of J2EE and spring boot applications with basic programming skills Good knowledge on oracle database objects, permissions, and ability to write SQL queries, Understanding of database deployment automation tools like flyway and Liquibase Skills That Will Help You Excel A passion for problem solving with strong analytical capabilities You are empathetic: You take others’ opinions into account and clearly communicate your thoughts to reach technical solutions quickly You stay current on technical trends to suggest innovative tools and approaches to interesting problems You share your expertise with the entire Engineering organization Expectations It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.
