As a Commercial Policy and Strategy Sr Consultant, you will be responsible for partnering with Sales to deliver deal strategy, structuring, and execution for our Enterprise businesses. This includes providing pricing guidance on innovative transactions and advising on product solutions to address unique customer needs. The candidate will also be responsible for recommending new pricing strategies to expand the company’s reach within various sales segments. Additionally, the senior consultant will help scale our Deal Desk function internally by supporting and enhancing field-enabled pricing tools. About the Role In this opportunity as a Commercial Policy and Strategy, Sr Consultant you will: Partner in a trusted adviser capacity to senior Sales Leadership, sales community and other internal stakeholders Manage day to day deal support requests from the sales organization, using data analysis to support recommendations Develop best practices for pricing and business terms, with the use of data and market knowledge to support decisions Provide thought leadership in identifying market opportunities, performing business and competitive analyses, and develop pricing strategies and tactics to pursue identified opportunities Develop and/or expand and enhance field facing pricing tools to increase standardization to policy and increase sales velocity Responsible for escalation on non-standard pricing or contract changes to appropriate approvers for review and approval Collaborate with Sales leadership to effectively coordinate and manage month and quarter end deal closure Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound offers Review and vet complex deals on behalf of leadership Develop relevant cross-functional relationships to understand products, competition, and the competitive market Create Deal Desk enablement materials to train analysts on best practices for product pricing and positioning Work closely with our Finance, Legal and Operations department s to optimize contract terms and close deals Demonstrate a strong understanding of our customers and how they use Salesforce products to assist in moving non-complex offers to SFDC/CPQ order process Ensure compliance with internal policies including SOX and other audit controls Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound offers with the Account Executives About You You’re a fit for the role if your background includes: Four-year degree in business, finance, accounting or other relevant major required; MBA and/or knowledge of legal industry is a plus. 5-8+ years plus of progressively responsible experience in a finance and/or contract management and Deal Desk pricing environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills. Strong ability to show initiative, effectively prioritize, work independently with a high degree of accuracy, comfortable with ambiguity. Strong analytical and organizational skills; detailed oriented. Ability to exercise independent judgment and identify process improvements and workflow efficiencies Proven ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple and complex projects. Adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced service-driven environment. Strong technical skill including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Proven project management skills related planning and overseeing projects from the initial ideation through to completion Ability to work extended hours as required Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
