Senior Technical Solutions Consultant Thomson Reuters is looking to hire an experienced Senior Technical Solutions Consultant. We require a highly motivated, goal-oriented individual who will be responsible for managing a team that builds software solutions to meet client needs. Ideal candidates will have technical experience including object-oriented programming, RDMBS knowledge, and experience in the professional service industry. Candidates should be excellent team players, capable of leading development resources, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. About the Role Technical Solutions Consultant are responsible for the specification, design, development, and implementation of custom software projects for our customers using our 3E products. Candidate should possess knowledge of several development languages, databases and technologies. Has the ability to understand a customer’s business requirement and advise customer with the most compelling solution available within the 3E software. In addition to this the Technical Solutions Consultant is responsible for managing development resources, both on and offshore to ensure a quality product is delivered to the customer. In addition: Thinks strategically and anticipates client needs in relation to solution delivery Considers the strategic direction of Thomson Reuters when providing designs and consultancy Directs the resolution of complex or unusual customer requirements. Responsible for development of custom solutions. This role reports to the Technical Consultant Services Manager. About You You are a fit for the role of a Technical Consultant if your background includes: Mandatory Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Mathematics required, master’s degree preferred. 7+ years’ experience in the complete SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle). 7+ years’ experience with SQL Server. 7+ years’ experience developing in API’s, C#, XSLT, .NET and/or ASP.NET. 7+ years’ experience of integrations using Microsoft BizTalk, Web Services, or equivalent technologies. Can consistently and successfully demonstrate, (with minimal supervision): Clear communication capabilities on projects, including project documentation Comprehensive analytical skills and ability to formulate client-specific solutions A solid understanding of the various database structures Positive track record for customer satisfaction Strong team player capabilities, i.e., willing to help others as appropriate, without being asked Desire for self-improvement i.e., taking advantage of CE classes, self-study on own initiative Participation in both client facing and internal projects Ability to work under tight schedules and under pressure Ability to work on multiple tasks within same time frame Ability to work well across departments and skill levels Able to work occasional weekend and holiday assignments Desirable Skills and Experience: Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the Legal finance sector or similar financial systems environment (prior Thomson Reuters experience highly desirable) Prior knowledge and awareness of Thomson Reuters products Education/ Certifications Required: Educational requirements: Computer Science/Mathematics or equivalent Experience in field requirements: Experience in similar role with similar responsibilities On the Job educational requirements: Experience with delivering software solutions and strong understanding of software development and delivery.
