We are seeking exceptional candidates who are passionate about the exciting world of digital technologies, including the Internet of Things, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. As an IoT Technical Consultant, you will work in a client-facing role for an established global clientele, helping them apply to lead ThingWorx IoT, Advanced Analytics, and Augmented Reality capabilities to challenging business problems. Our work is fast-paced, demanding, and provides unparalleled exposure to unique opportunities. The learning curve can be quite steep, but our team will help you build confidence and enable you to explore areas that are of interest to you. Our focus is on helping clients extract business value from cutting-edge IoT capabilities, not just on making the technology work. In this role, you will help design, develop, and test solutions for a diverse set of clients in industries such as Manufacturing, Life Sciences, High Tech, Consumer Goods, and Retail. Responsibilities: Achieve a balance between meeting client obligations, supporting their needs, and acting as an ambassador for the firm. Lead technical discussions to develop solutions for clients. Contribute to develop client proposals. Manage various workstreams of a project. Communicate client expectations and feedback to engage the team. Mentor junior developers and technical resources, champion best practices related to digital technology, SDLC, and project delivery. Implement, validate, and deploy the scalable and commercial ThingWorx IoT solutions in a client-facing setting. Perform advanced system configuration and customization. Development and design of software extensions and integrations using specific API’s. Manage data migrations. Ensure quality of code by performing unit testing and code reviews. Develop technical and functional specifications based on software design and performance. Perform advanced installations of tools to support development. Perform advanced system administrative functions. Assist in the data model and the mapping definition. Effective status reporting within their teams and with the clients. Work with multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural teams. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening. Willingness to travel international and domestic up to 50%. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Digital Systems, Software Development, or related. Experience with ThingWorx IoT service and mashup development. Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning disciplines like model development, training, validation, and deployment. Experience integrating ThingWorx with ‘Big Data’ platforms. Working experience developing in Java, C#.NET, JavaScript, SQL languages or related. Competency in Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational databases. Experience working with different platforms such as Windows Server and Linux. Experience in working with typical IT integration technologies: REST, SOAP, batch, queues. Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and identity management. General knowledge of Agile and SDLC software development practices and technical documentation (requirements, functional specifications, test plans, etc.). Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into well-engineered and integrated technical solutions; attention to detail. Ability to present technical solutions and lead demo sessions with stakeholders. Versatility, flexibility, and proactivity when resolving technical issues and dealing with ambiguity. Effective interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and managers. Personal commitment to quality and on-schedule delivery; proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlines. Management to help develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
